Casual, skate-inspired styling looks as good at the post-ride gathering as it does hanging out at the jumps track, but it’s the details that make the Tribe 2 a worthy performer on the bike.

The sturdy suede upper provides the support and the dialled Northwave fit pulls your foot securely into the shoe where the padded mesh panels and tongue provide the comfort and flex you desire and give you the ventilation your feet need.

Abrasion-resistant rubber prints on the toe and heel and a TPU reinforced toe box protect your feet from harm and increase the durability of the shoe.

The simple but effective non-stretch lace closure system allows you to customise your fit and the laces can be kept out of your chain with the elasticised keeper on the top of the tongue.

But we couldn’t call it a flat pedal shoe unless there was something special about the sole, could we? The Gecko super-tacky rubber compound, co-developed by Northwave and Michelin, has been used on the entire grip surface and the tread has not only been optimised for use on flat pedals but to as well provide traction off the bike.

An EVA midsole provides damping of trail chatter and the absorption of larger impacts whilst remaining light and relatively low profile.
