The RAM Magnetic Power Plate III U-Bolt HandlebarMount is designed to hold radar detectors securely while on the road. Themagnetic plate includes two powerful rare earth magnets, composite cradleand one adhesive steel plate. To mount your device to the magnet, simplyadhere the steel plate to the back of you device and lock up against theholder. This holder includes a quick-release function, where the deviceconventiely can be removed by twisting out of the holder in one easymotion. The Handlebar U-Bolt Mount is made up of three components total: AU-bolt ball base that can accomodate any handlebar from .5″ to 1.25″diameter, a double socket arm, and a round ball plate that connects to thebottom of the RAM Power Plate III. The double ball and socket designprovides infinite adjustability, so you can articulate your radar detectorto the perfect viewing and operating angle. The rubber ball componentsprovide shock and vibration damping, making this mount suitable for anyrugged environment.
